Robert C. Carll, Jr., age 58, of
Dandridge, Tennessee and formerly of Lower Alloways Creek passed away
Thursday, April 3, 2008 in Tennessee.
Born in Lower Alloways Creek Township he was the son of Dorothy Kline
Carll and the late Robert C. Carll and the husband of Linda Sheppard
Carll. He had resided in Dandridge, Tennessee for the past 20 years.
Bobby attended Lower Alloways Creek Elementary School and was a graduate
of Salem High School Class of 1967. He also attended South Georgia
Technical-Vocational School in Americus, Georgia majoring in custom
cabinetry. He was a member of the Canton Baptist Church.
He was employed with the Silverton Marine Boat Works in Millville prior
to opening his own custom cabinet shop. More recently he had been
employed by Wal Mart for the past 10 years as Supervisor of store
inventory.
In addition to his wife Linda, and his mother Dorothy, he is survived by
a sister, Barbara (Carll) Gandy and her husband William; a brother,
Bruce L. Carll and his wife Mary; nephews, Mark Gandy, Rob Gandy and
Paul Sheppard and a niece, Stephanie Thomas.
Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Thursday morning, April 10th
at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kyle Fisher officiating.
Burial will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton.
Friends may call on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to
the services at the funeral home.
The family asks that contributions in Mr. Carll’s memory be made to the
Cocke County Humane Society, 420 Humane Way, Newport, TN 37821.
