Frank "Bub" Jamison, Jr.

Frank “Bub” Jamison, Jr., age 86, of Millville died unexpectedly on Friday, April 11, 2008 at the South Jersey Regional Medical Center where he had been a patient for four days.

Born in Orangeburg, South Carolina the son of the late Frank Jamison and Bertha Williams Jamison he was the husband of Dorothy Tanner Jamison. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lula Hayward Jamison and had been a Millville resident for 43 years, moving there from Port Norris.

Mr. Tanner was a veteran of World War Two having served with the United States Navy.
He was still currently employed with the Bivalve Packing Company in Port Norris as a supervisor following 55 years of employment there.

Mr. and Mrs. Jamison would have celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on April 26th. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Cedarville where he was one of the church’s “Golden Warriors”. He enjoyed vacationing in the later years of his life and especially liked Bermuda.

In addition to his wife survivors include four daughters, Jacqueline Leatherbury of Baltimore, MD, Dorthea Ann Waugh of Bear, DE, Joy Teagle of St. Louis, MO and Mary Bordley of Penns Grove; a son, Isaac Jamison of Millville; 8 stepdaughters, Maryann Smith, Darlene Bryant and Peggy Jones of Glassboro, Dorothy Sease, Tamar Todd, Patricia Rodriguez and Lenora Smith of Vineland and Sharon Smith of Millville; three stepsons, Robert Smith of Cedarville, Zachariah Smith of Vineland and Ronnie Smith of Glassboro; a brother, Charlie Jamison of Detroit, MI, 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Edna Barnett and Bertha “Peaches” Corbin who died just this past March 28th.

Funeral services will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church, 37 Schaffer Avenue, Cedarville on Thursday morning, April 17th at 11 a.m.

Burial will take place at Greenwood Memorial Park in Millville.

Friends may call on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Cedarville.
