Charles E. Myers, 63, of Deerfield
Township, died in the South Jersey Regional Medical Center on Saturday
morning, April 27, 2008. He had been in failing health for the past 10
months.
The husband of Sharon E. Price Myers, he was born in Newport, Tenn., and
was the son of the Bertha Ledford Myers of Glassboro and the late Albert
S. Myers, Sr. He had lived in Deerfield Township for the past 35 years
and prior to that had resided in Harrisonville.
Charles had been employed with Leone Industries in Bridgeton for the
past 35 years. He retired in February of 2008, due to failing health.
He loved fishing and antique cars.
Besides his wife, survivors include: one son, Michael E. Myers,
Deerfield Township; one daughter, Christine L. Newsome and her husband
Edward, Deerfield Township; one brother, Albert Myers, Jr.,
Harrisonville; two sisters, Elizabeth Reynolds, Glassboro and Shirley
Price, Aldine; one granddaughter, Amanda Newsome; two
step-granddaughters, Laure Newsome and Courtney Newsome and two
step-great grandchildren, Jacob Newsome and Devin Andro.
Funeral services will be held in the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Thursday morning, May 1, at
11:00 O’clock. Burial will be in A viewing will be held at the funeral
home on Wednesday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 O’clock. Written
