William F. Richmond, Sr., 57, of
Upper Deerfield Township, died unexpectedly in the emergency room of
South Jersey Regional Medical Center on Thursday, April 17, 2008.
The husband of Lorraine Wurster Richmond, he was born in Bridgeton and
was the son of Lillian Gardner Richmond of Newfield and the late
Frederick Richmond. He had lived at his present address for 31 years and
had been a Bridgeton area resident for most of his life.
Mr. Richmond was employed with Phoenix Glass Co. in Pittsgrove and prior
to that with Kimble Glass Co. in Vineland and also with the Salem
Machine Co.
He was a member of the 14th Brooklyn NYSM-Civil War Re-enactment Group
and also enjoyed camping.
He ran his own business with his wife Lorraine, “Images & Times Company”
making iron and wood products of the Civil War Period. He was a partner
in the operation of B.J.’s Machine Shop in Bridgeton.
Besides his wife and mother, survivors include: three sons, William F.
Richmond, Jr., Upper Deerfield Township, Mark Richmond and wife, Ludmila,
Newfield and Fred Richmond and wife, Michelle, Bridgeton; his former
daughter-in-law, who he considered a daughter, Marianne Erhart and her
husband, Russell, Millville; a brother, Daniel Richmond, Orlando, Fla.
and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth W.
Richmond in 1994; three brothers, Frederick Richmond, Wayne Richmond and
Charles Guessford and two sisters, Myuriel Guessford and Betty Guessford
Williams.
Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Thursday morning, April 24th,
at 11 a.m.
Burial will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery, Upper Deerfield
Township.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening between 6:30
and 8:30 and on Thursday morning between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the
funeral home.
