Julius L. Badger, Sr., age 70, of
Hammonton and formerly of Buena died Sunday, February 24, 2008 at
Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton where he had been a patient for
five days.
Born in Millen, Georgia he was the
son of the late Melvin E. Badger and Georgeanna Lee Badger. He had been
a Hammonton resident for two years and prior to that had resided in
Buena.
Before his retirement Mr. Badger had
been employed with the Trump Castle Casino and Hotel in Atlantic City
for over ten years. Before that he had been a truck driver most of his
working life for several trucking companies.
He was a veteran having served with
the United States Navy and was a member of the Samuel Roberts Elks Lodge
in Bridgeton.
Surviving are a son, Julius L.
Badger, Jr. of Buena; a daughter, Viola A. Glenn of Bridgeton; his
companion with whom he resided, Doris Colaneri; five sisters, Mardran
Hawkins of Salem, Sally Ann Bryant of DE, Shelly Mobley of Willingboro,
Georgia Badger-Harris of Vineland and Christine Badger-Burno of DE;
three brothers, Clinton Badger of DE, William C. Badger of Bridgeton and
Rudolph Badger of Cedarville, 6 grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by four brothers, Jack Lee,
Calvin, Pecola and Melvin Badger.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township
on Friday, February 29th at 3 p.m.
Cremation and inurnment will follow
the services at Laurel Lawn Crematory in Upper Deerfield Township.
Friends may call on Friday afternoon
from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
