Alfonso Hernandez Centeno, age 55, of
Bridgeton died Monday, February 11, 2008 at Cooper Medical Center in
Camden after a lengthly illness.
Born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico he
was the son of Ricardo Hernandez and America Centeno Hernandez and was
the husband of Carmen Cartagena Hernandez.
He had been a Bridgeton area resident
most of his life coming here from Puerto Rico as a young man.
Alfonso had previously been employed
with Murbeck Corporation, Martin Dye & Finishing and Seabrook Farms.
In addition to his wife he is
survived by a daughter, Evelyn Hernandez of Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico;
three sons, Alfonso Hernandez, Jr. of Bridgeton and Antonio Hernandez of
Union; five sisters, Juanita Perez of Vineland, Elena Torres, Elsa
Hernandez and Christina Hernandez all of Millville and Margarita
Gutierez of Bridgeton; six brothers, Raphael, Louis and Gigo Hernandez
all of Puerto Rico, Nelo Hernandez of Massachusetts, Antonio Hernandez
of Florida and Gabriel Hernandez of Bridgeton. He was predeceased by a
brother, Victor Hernandez.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township
on Friday, February 15th at 11 a.m.
Burial will take place at Greenwood
Memorial Park in Millville.
Friends may call on Friday morning
from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
