Eleanor J. Koerner, age 80, of
Vineland and formerly of Bridgeton died Thursday, February 7, 2008 at
the Bishop McCarthy Residence in Vineland. She had been in declining
health for the past seven years.
Born in Palmyra, she was the daughter
of the late John Zablockis and Anna Lankatis Zablockis and the wife of
the late Clyde H. Koerner.
Before her retirement Mrs. Koerner
had owned and assisted in the operation of the former Koerner’s
Furniture Store in Deerfield for many years.
Mrs. Koerner was a former member of
the Laurel Hill United Methodist Church in Bridgeton,
She is survived by three daughters, Priscilla Scott of Tennessee, Joyce
Andrasz of Oklahoma and Marguerite Koerner of Upper Deerfield Township;
five sons, Clyde H. Koerner, Jr. of Hopewell Township and Roy, John,
Joseph and Anthony Koerner all of Florida; a sister, Rose Dellavalle of
Florida and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was
predeceased by a son, Charles Griner and four brothers, Charles, Joseph,
John and August Zablockis.
Graveside funeral services will be
held on Monday, February 11th at 9 a.m. at Broad Street Cemetery in
Bridgeton where the interment will follow the services.
