Luis A. “Gacho” Rodriguez, age 59, of
Port Norris died Friday, February 22, 2008 at Cooper University Hospital
in Camden where he had been a patient for one week following a brief
illness.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico the son
of the late Armando Rodriguez and Edilvina Martinez Rodriguez he was the
husband of Wanda Robles Rodriguez. He had been a Port Norris resident
for the past 20 years moving there from Rhode Island.
Prior to his retirement due to
disability he had been employed as a self employed auto mechanic.
In addition to his wife, he is
survived by two sons, Carlos Rodriguez (Beth) of Vineland and Avilo Diaz
of Port Norris; four daughters, Wandy (Preston) Rodriguez of
Philadelphia, Manuellee Leon of Florida, Taisha Romero of Port Norris
and Xiomy Roman of Puerto Rico; four sisters, Carmen Anglero of
Woodbine, Margarita Rodriguez of Puerto Rico, Edith Rodriguez of Rhode
Island and Judy Ortiz of Puerto Rico; twelve grandchildren, Junny,
Gordo, Nena, Carlito, Joun, Jonathan, Alexis, Nina, Ottie, Naomi, Nueka
and Adha along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township
on Thursday, February 28th at 2 p.m.
Burial will take place at Laurel Lawn
Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township.
Friends may call on Thursday from 1
to 2 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
