Fredrick Leary, age 92, of Bridgeton
died Sunday, January 27, 2008 at South Jersey Extended Care in
Bridgeton. He had been in declining health for the past year.
Born in Rock Sound, Bahama Islands he
was the son of the late Joseph Orlando and Diana Sands and the husband
of the late Cora Gibbons Leary.
Mr. Leary had previously been
employed with the Murbeck Company in Bridgeton and the Venice Maid Foods
Company in Vineland.
He was a member of Mt. Calvary
Baptist Church in Fairfield Township where he served as an usher,
deacon, and choir member.
He is survived by three daughters,
Mary L. Bigham of Philadelphia, Victoria Gibbons and Winifred Ann Bethel
both of Bridgeton; two sons, Jerry L. Evans of Ardsley, PA and Robert L.
Evans of Bridgeton and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and
great-great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sons,
Jimmie Evans and Joseph Leary.
Funeral services will be held on
Saturday, February 2nd at 1 p.m. at St. Phillip’s Missionary Baptist
Church, 275 Richardson Avenue, Bridgeton.
Burial will take place at Fordville
Memorial Park in Fairfield Township.
Friends may call on Saturday from 12
to 1 p.m. prior to the services the church.
Arrangements are under the direction
of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
