Willa Lewis, age 55, of Bridgeton
died Friday, January 4, 2008 at South Jersey Regional Medical Center.
She had been in declining health for the past two years.
Born in Americus, Georgia she was the
daughter of the late James J. Lewis, Sr. and Eula Mae Henderson Lewis.
She had been a Bridgeton resident for 34 years and prior to that had
resided in Georgia.
Before retirement due to her health
in September of 2007, she had been employed with the Easter Seals
Foundation in Vineland.
She had attended the Fairfield Adult
Medical Daycare Program in Fairfield Township until its closing.
Surviving are a daughter, Brenda G.
Wynder of Greenwood, DE; six brothers, Arthur Harper (Willa Mae) of
Vineland, James Lewis (Irene) of Bridgeton, Sylvester Lewis of Salem,
Artis Lewis of Bridgeton, Charles Lewis of Rosenhayn and Jessie Lewis
(Amanda) of Bridgeton; two sisters, Queenie Harper of Vineland and
Dorothy Felder of Bridgeton; one godson, Mark Gibbons of Bridgeton and
one granddaughter, Shayla Wynder of DE. She was predeceased by a sister,
Susie Mae Lewis and two brothers, Willie Lee and Ernest James Lewis.
Funeral services will be held on
Thursday, January 10th at 12 noon at the Bethel Pentecostal Church, 128
South Avenue, Bridgeton.
Burial will take place at Cedar Hill
Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.
Friends may call on Thursday from 10
a.m. to 12 noon prior to the services at the church.
