Bonnie L. Raines, age 66, of Upper
Deerfield Township died Sunday morning, January 20, 2008 at her home.
She had been in declining health for the past two years.
Born in Greenwich, the daughter of
the late Leroy K. Durham, Sr., and Bertha Durham she had lived in Upper
Deerfield Township for 37 years moving there from Shiloh.
Prior to her retirement Bonnie had
been employed with at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County for 28
years. She had also been employed at the Mater Dei Nursing Center for 20
years.
An active member of the Fairton
United Methodist Church, she enjoyed shopping, trips to the beach,
cruises and quilting. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Surviving are a son, Robert E.
Durham, Jr., of Upper Deerfield Township; two sisters, Jackie Briggs of
Pilesgrove and Peggy Mosley of Milford, DE; brother and sister in law,
Phyllis and Jack Raines of Hopewell Township; several nieces, nephews
and cousins including niece Amy Jupin of Madison, AL and cousins Beth
Burrell of Falls Church, VA and Sandy Bordley of Bridgeton and two
aunts, Marian Carter of Dover, DE and Jean Okonski of Merritt Island,
FL. She was predeceased by a brother, Leroy K. Durham, Jr., a nephew,
Terry Raines an aunt, Dorothy Burrell and several other aunts, uncles
and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on
Friday morning, January 25th at 11 a.m. at the Fairton United Methodist
Church, 20 Main Street, Fairton.
Cremation and inurnment will follow
the services at Laurel Lawn Crematory in Upper Deerfield Township.
Friends may call on Thursday evening
from 7 to 9 p.m. at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77,
Upper Deerfield Township.
In lieu of flowers the family asks
that contributions in Bonnie’s memory be made the Fairton United
Methodist Church, 20 Main Street, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
