Mary F. Lamanteer, 92, of Naples,
Fla., formerly of Cedarville, died Thursday morning, July 31, 2008, in
the Naples Community Hospital.
The wife of the late James V. Lamanteer, she was born in Ishpeming,
Mich., and was the daughter of the late Vincenzo Donato and Nora Miletta
Donato. She had resided in Naples since May of 1996 and prior to that
had lived in Maryland and Cedarville.
Prior to her retirement in 1978, Mary had been employed in the Cafeteria
Department of the Cumberland County College. She had also previously
been employed with the former M. C. Schrank Co. in Bridgeton.
She was a member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Cedarville
and the Alter Rosary Society of the Church. She enjoyed flowers,
gardening and crocheting.
Survivors include: four daughters, Rosemarie Griffith, Sausalito, Cal.,
Nora Ousley, Naples, Fla., Gloria Scott, Runnemede, and Joan Lamanteer,
North Bathesda, Md.; one son, James Lamanteer, Jr., Newport; one sister,
Rose Donato, Cedarville; eight grandchildren and eight great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death a sister, Minnie Sanza and
three brothers, James Donato, Nicholas Donato and Bruno Donato.
Her Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Michael’s Roman Catholic
Church, 367 Main St., Cedarville, on Tuesday morning, Aug. 5th, at 11:00
O’clock.
Friends may call at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main St., Cedarville,
on Tuesday morning between 9:30 and 10:30 O’clock.
Burial will take place Holy Cross Cemetery in Millville.
