Jean E. Ennals, 67, of Port Norris,
departed this life on Friday, June 20, 2008, at the South Jersey
Regional Medical Center, Vineland Division, after a brief stay of three
days. She had been in declining health for several years.
The daughter of the late William Ennals and Maria Waters Ennals, she was
born in Port Norris and was one of four children born to this union. She
was a twin.
Jean was educated in the Port Norris School System and later graduated
from Millville High School.
She was a gifted person with many talents, such as typing, stenography,
math and many other talents.
Jean was employed in the seafood industry the majority of her life, with
Gorton Seafood Company in Millville and Riggins & Robbins Oyster Co. in
Port Norris. She retired after 43 years of service.
She was a faithful member of John Wesley United Methodist Church in Port
Norris, where she served faithfully on several committees for many
years. She enjoyed going to church, listening to gospel music, studying
the Bible on Tuesday evening and watching the Food Network. She was a
family oriented person who unselfishly put her family before her self
and just accounted it to love. She never complained, just always giving
of herself.
Survivors include: two daughters, Nakia Ives, Port Norris and Wadena
Langston, Millville; one sister, Juanita M. Chin, Port Norris; one
adopted sister, Grace Heggs, Fairfield Township; one aunt, Esther Owens,
Port Norris; three grandchildren, Shalik Ennals, Shataya Ennals and
Braizon Williams and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and
friends. She was preceded in death by he twin sister, Joan Langston and
two brothers, Randolph Camper and Charles Camper.
Funeral services will be held at the Shiloh Baptist Church, Memorial
Avenue, Port Norris, on Saturday afternoon June 28th, at 1 p.m., with
her former Pastor, Rev. Douglas Goldsborough, officiating.
Burial will be in Haleyville Cemetery, Commercial Township.
A viewing will be held at the church on Saturday afternoon between 12:00
and 1:00 O’clock.
