Bernice Green, age 72, of Bridgeton
died Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Cooper Hospital University Medical Center
in Camden where she had been a patient for three weeks following a
lengthily illness.
Born in Nottoway County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late John
E. Watson and Nick Lee Watson and the wife of the late Charles R. Green.
She had lived in Bridgeton for 23 years and prior to that had resided in
Hopewell Township.
Prior to her retirement she had been employed with Fishers Food Center
in Hopewell for many years.
Bernice attended First Baptist Church in Deerfield.
Surviving are five daughters, Delores, Diane, Lisa, Patricia and
Parthenia Green all of Bridgeton; three sons, Randolph Green of New
York, David Green of Millville and Frank Green of Bridgeton; her soul
mate, Leonard Paul Tucker of Bridgeton; three step-daughters, Doris
Green of Millville, Jean Geiger of Bridgeton and Elaine Bailey of
Fairfield Township; two step-sons, Charles Green of Puerto Rico and
Harold Green of Bridgeton; a sister, Laura Jennings of Bloomfield, CT,
13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two
daughters, Barbara and Yvonne Green, a son, William Green, three
sisters, Addie Watson, Mae Stokes and Gladys Harris and a
great-grandchild, Tristin Hawkins.
Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Monday, June 23rd at 11 a.m.
Burial will take place at Fordville Memorial Park in Fairfield Township.
Friends may call on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services at
the funeral home.
