Robert L. Mitchell, Jr., 49, of
Appomattox, VA., formerly of Fairfield Township, died suddenly and
unexpectedly after suffering a heart attack at his home on Saturday
evening, June 7, 2008.
The son of Robert L. Mitchell and Frances Crispo Mitchell of Concord,
VA., he was born in Bridgeton. He had lived in Appomattox for the past
year and a half. Prior to that he had been a lifetime resident of
Fairfield Township.
He had formerly been employed through Union Local 322 of Winslow
Township, for over 30 years as a pipe fitter.
Robert was a member of Evening Star Lodge # 97, F. & A. M. of
Cedarville.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed rebuilding high
performance auto engines.
Besides his parents, survivors include: one son, Robert L. Mitchell,
III, Appomattox, VA. and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
His Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic
Church, 367 Main St., Cedarville, on Monday morning, June 16th, at 10:30
a.m
. Burial will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Township.
Friends may call at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77,
Upper Deerfield Township, on Sunday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.
and on Monday morning between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. Masonic Services will
be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions, in Robert’s
memory, to St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 367 Main St.,
Cedarville, N. J. 08311.
