Arnold “Butch” Ross, age 56, of
Philadelphia and formerly of Millville died Thursday, June 12, 2008 at
the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia where he had been a
patient for one day following an extended illness.
Born in Bridgeton, he was the husband of the late Janice Green Ross and
the son of Shirley Ross of Millville and the late James Barrow.
Arnold was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving two tours
of duty in Vietnam during the Vietnam Conflict.
Before his retirement due to disability he had worked in the seafood
industry in the Port Norris area.
In addition to his mother, survivors include a daughter, Keysha Moore of
Millville; a sister, Jackie Barrow of Port Norris; four brothers, James,
Eugene, Victor and William Barrow all of Port Norris; a granddaughter,
Justine Moore of Millville; two great-grandchildren, Jadem and Krystina
Lyn Moore; a step-mother, Adella Barrow of Port Norris; a special
friend, Sammy Owens of Port Norris; an aunt, Margaret Towner of Port
Norris and cousins Doretha and John Maddox of Port Norris.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 19th at 1 p.m. at the
Shiloh Baptist Church, Memorial Avenue, Port Norris
Burial will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery in Commercial
Township.
Friends may call on Thursday from 11 to 1 p.m. prior to the services at
the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME,
Cedarville.
