Altha M. Fisher, 90, of Fairfield
Township, died under Hospice Care on Friday evening, March 28, 2008, at
the home of her daughter, H. Sue Vicari of Elmer.
The wife of the late George E. Fisher, Sr., she was born in Palatine and
was the daughter of the late Clifford Miller and Reba Hitchner Miller.
She had been a resident of Fairfield Township since 1935 and prior to
that had lived in Seeley.
Before her retirement she had been employed with the former Siebel &
Stern Clothing Co. in Bridgeton for 24 years.
Altha was a long time member of the Fairton United Methodist Church.
Besides her daughter, survivors include: two sons, Glenn M. Fisher,
Fairfield Township and George E. Fisher, Jr., Rushville, Neb.; four
brothers, David C. Miller, London, England, Glendon G. Miller, Iona,
Donald Miller, Elmer and Newell Miller, Elmer; two sisters, Evelyn
Johnson, Deerfield and Beatrice Rambo, Bridgeton; ten grandchildren;
fifteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by two brothers, Belford Miller and Claire Miller.
Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Wednesday morning, April 2, at
11:00 O’clock. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Cedarville.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday morning between
10:00 and 11:00 O’clock.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions, in Mrs. Fisher’s
memory to either the Fairton United Methodist Church, 20 Main St.,
