Robert F. Glaspey, age 83, of Stow
Creek Township died peacefully Saturday night, March 8, 2008.
He was the husband of Helen Elizabeth
Glaspey (nee Sheppard) who recently passed in June of 2007 and the son
of the late Frank Madison Glaspey and Anna Glaspey (nee Wible). Mr. and
Mrs. Glaspey had been married for 62 years.
As a young man he farmed for many
years with Lloyd K. Daniels in Stow Creek Township. From 1969 to 1989 he
was employed with the Cumberland County Road Department.
An avid outdoorsman he especially
enjoyed countless hours in his garden, hunting, fishing and crabbing.
Many happy hours were spent at the cabin with his wife, family and
friends.
He is survived by his only daughter,
Barbara Helen Glaspey of Stow Creek Township; one brother, David Glaspey
of Greenwich; one sister, Janet Pierson of Greenwich and several nieces
and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Etta Smith, Harriet
Thomas and Carolyn Glaspey and two brothers, Albert Glaspey and Howard
Glaspey all of Greenwich.
Family and friends are invited to
attend the graveside funeral services on Friday, March 14th at 10 a.m.
at the Greenwich Baptist Church Cemetery where burial will follow the
services.
Arrangements are under the direction
of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
In lieu of flowers memorial
contributions may be made in Mr. Glaspey’s memory to the Greenwich
