Frances H. Price, 83, of Bridgeton,
died at the South Jersey Hospice Care Center in Bridgeton, on Sunday,
March 23, 2008, after a brief illness.
The wife of William E. “Adrian” Price, she was born in Upper Deerfield
Township and was the daughter of the late Daniel Hart and Hattie
Frederick Hart. She had been a Bridgeton area resident for most of her
life.
Prior to her retirement, Frances had been employed with the Anchor
Hocking Glass Company in Salem and also with the Cumberland County
Homemaker-Home Health Aides.
She was a member of St. Augustine A. M. E. Zion Church since 1981, under
the leadership of Rev. Kingdom J. Reebey. She was active on the Church
Building Committee and was president of the Ministry of Hope at the
church. Frances placed flowers on her church alter every Sunday.
She was a veteran of World War Two, serving with the U. S. Army.
Besides her husband of 35 years, she is survived by: one brother, Daniel
Hart and his wife Angela of South Carolina and a sister-in-law, Gloria
Hart of Bridgeton. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harding
Hart and Elvin Hart and four sisters, Elease Martin, Thelma Bergin, Anna
Butler and Mamie Cuff.
Funeral services will be held at St. Augustine A. M. E. Zion Church, 49
South Pine St., Bridgeton, on Saturday, March 29th, at 12:00 O’clock
noon. Burial will be in Gouldtown Memorial Park, Fairfield Township. A
viewing will be held at the church on Saturday morning between 11:00 and
12:00 O’clock. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the
