Frank J. “Butch” Rio, 66, of
Bridgeton, died late Wednesday evening, March 26, 2008, at South Jersey
Regional Medical Center, where he had been a patient for 2 weeks. He had
been in failing health for the past 10 years.
The husband of the late Carol Marie Ballinger Rio, he was born in
Bridgeton and was the son of the late Frank Rio and Columbia Chiari Rio.
He had been a lifetime resident of Bridgeton.
Prior to his retirement 10 years ago, Frank had been employed with
Chiari Enterprises in Upper Deerfield Township for over 40 years.
He attended Immaculate Conception Church of Bridgeton.
Survivors include: two sons, Frank J. Rio, Jr. and his wife Kimberly,
Bridgeton and Brian M. Rio, Bridgeton; one daughter, Jill L. Rio,
Bridgeton; one brother, Nick Rio and his wife Sara, Upper Deerfield; one
sister Marie Ford and her husband Dick, Millville and two grandsons,
Frank Thomas Rio and Jacob Michael Rio.
His Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church,
312 North Pearl St., Bridgeton, on Tuesday morning, April 1st, at 10:00
O’clock.
Entombment will take place in the family mausoleum at Overlook Cemetery,
Bridgeton.
A viewing will held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77,
Upper Deerfield Township, on Monday evening between 6:00 and 8:00
