Mary Ann Comer, age 45, of Somers
Point and formerly of Bridgeton died Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Shore
Memorial Hospital in Somers Point where she had been a patient for ten
days. She had been in declining health for the past year.
Born in Bridgeton, she was the daughter of Mary Ellen Wynder Carroll and
the late William Comer, Sr. She had lived in Somers Point for the past
ten years and was an Atlantic County resident all of her adult life.
Mary Ann was currently self-employed as a Home Healthcare Aide for
children and the elderly. She had also previously worked at the former
Children’s Seashore House in Atlantic City.
A 1980 Graduate of Bridgeton High School she dearly loved children and
caring for them.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her stepfather, Roland
Carroll of Bridgeton; two brothers, William Comer, Jr. and his wife Gina
of Bridgeton and Rodney Carroll of Fairfield Township; two sisters,
Renee Carroll and Carmella Carroll both of Bridgeton and a niece, Jamie
Rizzo of Bridgeton.
Memorial services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Saturday, May 31st at 11 a.m.
Friends may call on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services at
the funeral home.
