Calvin Ennals, 76, of Port Norris,
passed away in the South Jersey Regional Medical Center on Thursday, May
1, 2008. The husband of the late Lucille Livingston Ennals, who died two
weeks ago on April 16, he was born in Crepo, Md. and was the son of the
late Lewis Balls and Elsie Ennals. He had been a resident of Port Norris
for 71 years, coming from Maryland.
He retired 10 years ago from the South State Co., after many years of
service. He had also worked for the Austin Hill Co., Mickel & Co.,
Eastmont & Co., T. & T. Co., Bivalve Oyster Co. and the Jersey Package
Co.
Calvin had attended Shiloh Baptist Church in Port Norris and was a
member of both Local 472 and Local 172 Construction Workers Union.
Survivors include: two daughters, Deborah Wright (James), Trenton and
Carolyn Ennals (Kevin Brown), Port Norris; two sons, Walter Ennals,
(Stephanie), Vineland and Steven Ennals, Port Norris; three brothers,
Howard Ennals (Marie), Millville, Cecil Ennals (Annie), Port Norris and
Jerome Wilson, Cambridge, Md.; one sister, Betty Jackson (Freddie)
Cambridge, Md.; five brothers-in-law, Beryl Whittington, Jerome
Whittington, Phillip Whittington, Joseph Livingston and Alonzo
Livingston; three sisters-in-law, Violet White, Shirley Hayward and
Lottie Bethel; five grandchildren; one great granddaughter and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He is also
survived by a special friend, Andrew Chin of Port Norris. He was
preceded in death by a brother Samuel Ennals.
Funeral services will be held in the Shiloh Baptist Church, Memorial
Avenue, Port Norris, on Saturday afternoon, May 10, at 1:00 O’clock.
Burial will be in Haleyville Cemetery, Commercial Township. A viewing
will be held at the church on Saturday between 11:00 O’clock and 1:00
O’clock. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT
