Alice Ale, age 81, of Hopewell
Township passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the home of her son
Rodney and Flossie Ale where she had been staying during illness. She
had been in declining health for the past four months.
Alice was the wife of the late
William J. Ale who died on February 16th. Born in Elmer on May 14, 1927,
she was the daughter of the late Anthony Karisko and Mary Matinko
Karisko. She was a Hopewell Township resident for 52 years and lived in
Bridgeton prior to that.
She assisted her husband William in
his farming operation and Ale’s Nursery in Hopewell Township for over 52
years. Prior to that, Alice was employed at Owen’s Illionois Glass
Company in Bridgeton.
Alice was an avid bingo player,
especially at the Upper Deerfield Township McDonald’s Restaurant.
She is survived by three sons, Dennis
Ale and Annie Olsen, Kenneth Ale and his wife Carol and Rodney Ale and
his wife Flossie all of Hopewell Township; 8 grandchildren, 14
great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four
sisters, Anna DeBellis, Mary Antonoff, Martha Watson and Helen Ickus;
and three brothers, Anthony Karisko, John Karisko and Andrew Karisko.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on
Wednesday, April 22nd at 10 am.
Burial will take place at Fernwood
Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.
Friends will be received at the
funeral home on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 pm.
