Tom W. Dooley, Sr., 75, of Upper
Deerfield Township, died suddenly on Saturday, April 4, 2009, the result
of injuries received in a motor vehicle accident in Upper Deerfield
Township.
The husband of Eva Frye Dooley, he
was born in Thaxton County, VA, and was the son of the late Walter
Dooley and Mildred Welch Dooley. He had been a resident of Upper
Deerfield since 1973 and prior to that he had lived in Bridgeton.
Before his retirement in 1993, Tom
had been employed with Wheaton Glass Co. in Millville for 7 years. Prior
to that he had worked at the former Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in
Bridgeton for 29 years.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army
serving during the Korean Conflict.
He attended the Bridgeton Assembly of
God Church.
Tom loved his grandchildren.
Besides his wife, survivors include:
three sons, Tom W. Dooley, Jr., Pennsville, Walter “Todd” Dooley, Stow
Creek Township and Mark D. Dooley, Upper Deerfield Township; one
brother, Admas Dooley, Pennsville; one sister, Ann DeCero, Philadelphia,
PA.; seven grandchildren, Courtney, Joshua, Nicholas, Cody, Austin,
Amanda and Zachary Dooley and one great grandson, Jaden Dooley. He was
preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa A. Dooley; two brothers, Fletcher
Dooley and Fred Dooley and a sister, Norma McClurg.
Funeral services will be held at the
Bridgeton Assembly of God Church, Indian Avenue, Bridgeton, on Friday
morning, April 10th, at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be at Laurel Lawn
Cemetery, Bridgeton.
Friends will be received at the
church on Thursday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.
