Augustine Tisa, 81, of Vineland,
formerly of Bridgeton, died Friday morning, March 12, 2010, at South
Jersey Regional Medical Center. He had been in failing health for the
past 6 months.
The husband of Yvonne Ault Tisa, he
was born in Dividing Creek and was the son of the late Eugene Tisa and
Josephine DeLario Tisa. He had lived in Vineland for the past year.
Prior to that he had been a resident of Florida for 22 years, moving
there from Bridgeton.
Retired since 1984, he had been
employed in the selecting department with the former Owens-Illinois
Glass Co. in Bridgeton for 30 years. After his retirement he had worked
for United Jersey Bank for 5 years.
He was a member of the Owenized Club
of Bridgeton and was a former member of the Bridgeton Elk’s Lodge. A
veteran of the U. S. Navy and U. S. Air Force, Mr. Tisa served during
the Korean Conflict.
Besides his wife: survivors include:
two sons, David Tisa (Mary), Port Elizabeth and George Tisa (Rosalie),
Youngsville, NC; one brother, Peter Tisa, Vineland; one sister, Carmella
Morrison, Bridgeton; four grandchildren, David Tisa, Jr., Veronica
Shelton, Brandon Tisa and Bryan Tisa: one great-granddaughter, Kylie
Shelton and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two
brothers, John Tisa and Phillip Tisa and a sister, Rose Gilmore.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township,
on Tuesday morning, March 16th, at 10 AM.
Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
Friends will be received at the
funeral home on Monday evening between 6 and 8 PM.
