Gary W. Faircloth of Rose Hill, North Carolina died at home on Friday, November 2, 2018 after a period of declining health. Born in Duplin County on April 23, 1957, he was the son of the late Clemon L. and Myrtle Teachey Faircloth.
Ever since his early childhood days, Gary always wanted to be on the outside enjoying nature in all it has to offer. He liked fishing but his favorite activity on the outside was hunting deer. Farming took a priority spot in his time also as did his chickens and goats. The most special of his animals was his beloved canine friend and companion Roxie. His life work for many years was in the textile industry as a maintenance supervisor. The most special love of his life is his family--in particular the granddaughters.
Left to cherish Gary's memory are his children--daughter Carrie Brown and her husband Austin of Chinquapin and son Blake Wilson of the home; brothers--Clem Faircloth and wife LaRue of Wallace and Doug Faircloth and wife Cheryl of Rose Hill; grandchildren--Addyson and Hartley Brown; niece--Holly Carter and husband Grant of Surf City; and nephew--Chase Faircloth of Willard.
Friends may greet the family at a visitation on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 6:oo pm till 8:00 pm at the 401 West Main Street chapel of Padgett Funeral and Cremation Services in Wallace and at other times in the home. A service to celebrate Gary's life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 6 at 11:00 am, officiated by Reverend Harry Carroway and Reverend Buster Price. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Rose Hill.
