Mrs. Addie Irene Houston Moore, age 83 of Smithfield Manor Nursing & Rehab in Smithfield, NC, formerly of Magnolia, NC died on September 22, 2016 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Devotional Gardens in Warsaw, NC conducted by Rev. Wesley Hairr.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Linda Horne and husband Ray of Roseboro, NC, Bennie Jones and fiancé Ann Mitchell of Roseboro, NC, Donald Houston of Wallace, NC, Joseph Houston of Wallace, NC, Joanne Mercer of Pender County, NC and Oliver Houston of Beulaville, NC and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was born on October 25, 1932 in Duplin County, NC to the late Lonnie and Addie Whaley Houston. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Ida Mae Houston and Betty Rovine Jones and her brothers, Windell Houston, Dolphus Houston, Harvey Houston, Winfred Houston and Sam Houston.

She had a love for music and loved to write songs and sing.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful nurses and caretakers at Smithfield Manor for the wonderful care they took of Mrs. Addie.
