Mrs. Alene Register Raynor age 79 of Wallace, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Poston Baptist Church, Wallace.  Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.  The family will receive from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday, January 7, 2013 at Padgett Funeral Home.

She is survived by a son, Ron Raynor of Chicago, IL, a brother, Bobby Register of Wallace, NC and his special friend, Lib Harrison, a grandson, Jason Parker and wife Jackie of Wilmington, NC, two granddaughters, Haley and Alyssa Raynor of Wilmington, NC, two great grandchildren, Riley and Jackson Parker, a son-in-law, Derrik Parker and wife Gina of Wilmington, NC, a daughter-in-law, Marie Raynor of Wilmington, NC, eleven nieces and nephews including a very special niece, Lisa Register of Rose Hill, NC.

Born May 22, 1933 in Rose Hill, NC, Mrs. Raynor was the daughter of the late Norman James and Annie (Harrell) Register and was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Wilbur Harrell Raynor, a son, Jimmy Raynor, a daughter, Sheila Parker and a brother, Norman Charles Register.  The most important thing in Alene's life was her faith in God and her family.  She was a long time member of the Poston Baptist Church.  Some of her interests were shopping with her two best friends, Jean Wood and Geraldine Wells.  She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
