Mrs. Alice Smitty Futrell age 93 of Wallace died Wednesday October 20, 2010 at Huntington Health Care and Retirement Center in Burgaw. She is survived by a two sons, Alton Futrell and wife Joretta of Lexington, NC and Bobby Futrell and wife Mary Jane of Wallace, NC, sister, Mrs. Rachel Brady of Pine Level, NC, 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Brodgen, NC, Mrs. Futrell was the daughter of the late Rance and Willie Pilkington Tyner and a member of Wallace Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a faithful wife, loving mother and grandmother and faithful to her church. She also loved quilting and gardening and was active in the Rockfish Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Richard Allen Futrell, a son, James David Futrell and a daughter-in-law, Donna Sue Pridgen Futrell. Casketbearers will be, Randy Futrell, Danny Futrell, Ray Futrell, Ricky Horrell, James Whaley and George Whaley.
