Mrs. Annarie Teachey Pierce age 89 of Wallace died Tuesday February 14, 2012 at Huntington Healthcare in Burgaw. She is survived by a son, William Phillip Pierce, Jr. and wife Natallia of Wallace, NC, a sister, Kathleen Caldwell of Wallace, NC, a granddaughter, Jewell Chadwick of Burgaw, NC, a grandson, Sergay Smolich of Wilmington, NC, a great grandson, Zachary Chadwick of Burgaw, NC and two nephews, Robert Caldwell of Wallace, NC and Wesley Caldwell and wife Janet of Indiana. Born September 19, 1922 in Duplin County, Mrs. Pierce was the daughter of the late Ira and Laney Carter Teachey and was a member of Island Creek Baptist Church. She loved playing the Piano and Organ both at home and at church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Phillip Pierce, Sr., four brothers, Edwin Teachey, Elmo Teachey, Clement Teachey and I. B. Teachey, Jr. a sister, Margaret Howard. Casket bearers will be Elmo Teachey, Jr., Robert Caldwell, Johnny Blanton, Dan Norris, Jim Lofts and Terry Duff.
