Mrs. Asha (Farrior) Watson, age 83 of Wallace, NC, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center in Wilmington. Visitation will be held Monday, December 23, 2013 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Padgett Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, Wallace. Graveside services to follow at 2:30 pm at Rockfish Cemetery conducted by Dr. Bob Kretzu. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert Clifton Watson, Sr. of the home, a daughter, Kathryn Schoenick and husband Terry of Wilmington, NC, a daughter-in-law, Donna Watson, a sister, Dorothy Painter and husband Vernon, two brothers, David Farrior and Bill Farrior, three grandchildren, Bobby Watson, and wife Tanya, Savannah Watson, and Chris Schoenick, and wife Lene', and two great grandchildren, Priya Schoenick and Gwen Schoenick. Born May 7, 1930 in Wallace, NC, Mrs. Watson was the daughter of the late William and Thelma Farrior and was preceded in death by her son, Robert Clifton Watson, Jr., three sisters, Emily Farrior, Ethel Browder, and Francis Jones. Mrs. Watson was a member of the Wallace United Methodist Church and taught at Wallace Rose High School before retiring after thirty years. She was a graceful, selfless, amazing woman-the strength and heart of our family. We will miss her and love her always.
