Mrs. Barbara Lee Jones age 68 of Wilmington, died Monday October 1, 2012 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday October 5, 2012 at Padgett Funeral Chapel conducted by Dr. Jerry Kinlaw. Burial will follow at Duplin Memorial Gardens in Teachey. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Aubrey Clarence Jones, Sr. of Wilmington, NC, a son, Aubrey Clarence Jones, Jr. and wife Tanya of Raleigh, NC, two daughters, Rebecca Zima and husband Andy of Greenville, SC and Melissa Jones of Wilmington, NC, three grandchildren, Samantha Zima, Joelle Zima and Mark Jones, a brother, Charles "Chuck" Bowman and wife Vicki of Augusta, KS, two nephews, Christopher Bowman and Jeremy Bowman and a niece, Jessica Woolsey.

Born April 27, 1944 in Wilmington, Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Charles Elmer and Decima Lee Rackley Bowman and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Wilmington. Barbara graduated from Easton High School in Easton, IL, in 1962. Mrs. Jones loved reading her Bible where she found great comfort. She also was an avid reader and writer, loved to craft, sketch, listen to music and make floral arrangements. One of her favorite past times was to watch the birds outside her window, especially the humming birds. Mrs. Jones was well loved by everyone she met.

Casket bearers will be Aubrey Jones, Jr., Andy Zima, Fuzzy Buckner, Dennis Knowles, David Savage and Eugene "Punk" Fussell
