Barbara Viola Keyl of Willard, NC, was welcomed into God's arms and reunited with her creator on the morning of July 8, 2025, while at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on August 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Rudolf J. S. Keyl Sr and Ida Christina Keyl. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Brittany Felici and her siblings, Theodore Keyl, Martha Shulz, and Rev Rudolf J.S. Keyl.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith, cherished by her children—Son Mark Tolerico and wife Toni of Austin, TX; Daughter Stephanie Ward and husband Jon-Paul of Willard, NC; and Daughter Tammy Trimmer and husband Charles of GA.

Barbara was a devoted grandmother to Paul Felici and wife Shannon of Washington, NJ; Kristopher Felici and wife Amy of Philadelphia PA; Vinny Felici and fiancée Courtney Houston of Willard, NC; Dominick Felici and fiancée Kayci Morales of Willard, NC; Anthony Felici of Willard, NC; and Marisa Felici of Willard, NC.

She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Dalton Felici, Dillon Felici, Kinsley Felici, Noah Felici, and Kayden Felici and many nieces and nephews who also loved her.

Barbara came from a family of several Lutheran ministers and was deeply devoted to her love for the Lord. She was the embodiment of love and extended it unconditionally to all. A lifelong organist for three different churches, she was unwavering in her spiritual walk. She taught elementary school for many years. Barbara lived with her daughter Stephanie for thirty five  years, and moved to North Carolina in 2017. She loved her family more than anything else on earth.

A memorial service will be held on July 26, 2025, at 11am in New Jersey at St. Luke's. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in her memory be made to:St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 214 NJ-31, Washington, NJ 07882
