Mrs. Bessie Johnson Fields age 95 of Teachey died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at her residence. A native of Duplin County Mrs. Fields is the daughter of the late David Washington and Bessie Bland Johnson. She is survived by two sons, Donald Fields and wife Peggy of Teachey, Jimmy Fields and wife Polly of Burgaw; three daughters, Margie Fields Kennedy of Pink Hill, Ann Norman and husband Butch of Rose Hill, Glenda Smith and husband Tracey of Harrells; twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Fields and daughter Margaret Fields. Also, she is preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Vernon, Margaret Raynor, Alie Raynor, Estelle Fussell, and one brother Otis Lee Johnson.
