Mrs. Bessie J. Wells age 93 died Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Pender Memorial Hospital in Burgaw. Mrs. Wells is the daughter of the late Jonas and Ina Sutton Jackson. She is survived by one son, Kenneth Wells and wife of Judy of Willard; eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, five great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and one step great-great grandchild. Also, she is survived by a daughter-in-law Sue Wells wife of the late Robert A. Wells of Boiling Springs Lake and former daughter -in-law, Faye Smith. She is preceded in death by her late husband William Jake Wells; son, Robert A. Wells; daughter, Hilda Johnson and husband Mack of Harrells; eleven brothers and sisters.
