Mrs. Betty Louise Pittman, age 82 of Teachey, NC, went home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2015 at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville, NC. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Padgett Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Jack Melvin. Burial will follow at Rockfish Memorial Cemetery in Wallace, NC.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Pittman of the home, her son, Johnny Trueblood of Denver, CO and five nephews, Silas Pittman of Wallace, NC, Daniel Pittman of Clinton, NC, Samuel Pittman of Seattle, WA, Joseph Pittman of Wallace, NC and Jacob Pittman of Raleigh, NC.
Born March 10, 1933 in Columbus Ohio, Mrs. Pittman was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Iva Mae Dixon Chilcote and was preceded in death by four sisters, Crawallelleas Chilcote, Daisey Chilcote, Helen Chilcote and Eleanor Pittman and three brothers, Oscar Chilcote, Harry Chilcote, Jr., and Floyd Chilcote.
Casketbearers will be David Quinn, Clayton Bryant, Sr., Travis Chestnut, Doug White, JImmy Jones and Forest Hawes.
