Mr. Bernard Louis Lesmeister of Rose Hill, NC, unexpectedly left his earthly life on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 while at home.  Born on July 7, 1953, he is the son of Bernard Louis Lesmeister, Sr. and Jacqueline Dorothy Harcrow Lesmeister of Minneapolis, MN.  He was preceded in death by his father.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife—Donna Marie Reeves Lesmeister of the home; mother—Jacqueline Dorothy Harcrow of Sacramento, CA; children—Jackquline Lavenre Binns, Bernard Louis Lesmeister III, Jessica Lynn Lesmeister, Joshua Lee Lesmeister; grandchildren—Kayla Walker, Kristy Lesmeister, Brandon Lesmeister, Blake Lesmeister, Amberlee Lesmeister, and Bladen Lesmeister; great grandchildren—Cody Walker and Alex Walker; and six sisters.

Mr. Lesmeister always liked the idea of living in Alaska even though he never lived there.  His desire was second only to the love he had for his family.  He served his country for four years in the United States Marine Corp and was stationed in Camp Lejeune, NC.  The major part of his work career was spent as a dispatcher for Smithfield Foods.  An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and collecting many different things.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at the family cemetery at 252 Huffman Road, Rose Hill, NC.
