Mrs. Carmalita \"Carmen\" Caudell Hampton age 68 of Wallace died Tuesday January 11, 2011 at Brian Center Health & Rehab in Wallace. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Joseph Zarrello and wife Barbara of Burgaw, NC, one daughter, Mrs. Joanne Lee and husband Joseph of Wilmington, NC, three grandchildren, Joseph Zarrello, Jr. of Wilmington, NC, Anthony Michael Zarrello and Fiancee Meghan Eudy of Laurel, DE and Ashley Marie Zarrello and Fiancee Scott Hearn of Laurel, DE, two step-grandchildren, Bart Andrews and Brandy Blackburn, one great grandchild, Brayden Zarrello, five step-great grandchildren, one sister, Diane Fogelman and husband Bob of High Point, NC, one brother-in-law, David Hooker of High Point, NC and very special friend, Teresa Caine of Jefferson, GA. Born in Toccoa, Georgia, Mrs. Hampton was the daughter of Mrs. Agnes White Caudell Hartgrove and the late Woodrow Carter Caudell. She loved to cook, crochet and taking care of others. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Ray Hartgrove, two sisters, Deborah Hooker and Patricia Caudell and one nephew, Keith Caudell.
