Mrs. Carolyn Hair Stallings, age 64, of Wallace, NC passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston, NC. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Wallace, NC conducted by Dr. Alan Thompson and Reverend Buddy Dowd. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park in Watha, NC. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, John A. Stallings III of Wallace, NC, two sons, John A. \"Jaye\" Stallings IV & Syreeta of Teachey, NC and Mike Stallings & wife Crystal of Wallace, NC, four grandchildren, Jayeden Stallings, Maryana Stallings, Dakota Stallings, and Makayla Stallings, two brothers, Clarence Hair & wife Mary of Fayetteville, NC, and Robert Hair & wife Annette of Gloster, VA, a sister, Marie Rigsby & husband Alvis \"Butch\" of Bullock, NC, six nephews, Alvis Rigsby, Jr., Allen Hair, Eric Hair, Zack Stallings, Nicholas Stallings and Jeremy Parker, three nieces, Amanda Hair, Kimberly Kent and Heather Parker. Mrs. Stallings was born on August 19, 1948 in White Lake, NC to the late Manson and Lydia (Johnson) Hair. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Horace Hair. Mrs.Stallings graduated from Wallace Rose Hill High School. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She loved watching movies, cooking, fishing, spending time in the mountains and her church. She drove a school bus for 15 years for Wallace Elementary School and Harrells Christian Academy. She worked with her husband for 25 years at Stallings Tire in Wallace, NC. Casketbearers will be James Morrison, Taylor Johnson, Lex Marshburn, Chuck Farrior, Don Gatton and Archie Carter.
