Cathy Lynn Goudy Hoselton of Currie, NC passed from her earthly life during the early morning of Thursday, March 24, 2022, while at home.  Born on February 10, 1954, she is the daughter of the late Carl Eugene and Mary Catherine Valentine Goudy.  Also preceding her in death are brothers—Ronald Goudy and Carl Goudy, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband—Kevin Dwayne Hoselton; daughter—Paula Chaffin Breece of Currie; brothers—Rick Goudy and wife Pattie of Parkersburg (WV), Terry Goudy and wife Leslie of Parkersburg (WV), and Gregory Goudy of Parkersburg (WV).

Cathy came to North Carolina from West Virginia in 1987 and she, Kevin, and Paula made their home here since that time.  Her love for the beach drew her to the area and kept the family here for many years.  She is one of those outspoken "one of a kind" people who are so much fun to encounter.  Working for New Hanover County government from 1987 to 2006 led her to many friendships in her accounting position there.  The main characteristic to which she subscribed in her work ethic was accuracy and she was very adamant about it.  She loved her family and especially her daughter so much that it has been said that she "lived for her".

No services are planned at this time.  Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services of Wallace (NC) is assisting the Hoselton family.
