Cathy Jean "Kitty" Raynor of Holly Ridge and formerly of Pin Hook passed from her earthly life on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 while at Duke University Medical Center.  Born on December 23, 1958 in Decatur, Alabama, she is the daughter of the late Michael Carl and Imo Jean Thrasher Jones.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband—Victor Glenn Raynor of Holly Ridge; children—Michael Raynor and wife Sherry of Wallace, Kenneth Raynor and wife Sharon of Autryville, and Phoebe Gabrielle "Gabby" Raynor of the home; grandchildren—Michael Glenn Raynor of Wilmington, Ellis Glenn Raynor of Autryville, and Rivers W. Raynor of Autryville; siblings—Michael Carl Jones, Jr. of Grimesland, Sandy Penny and husband Lee of Florida, Sheila Cox and husband Jerry of Holly Ridge; and dearest friend and cousin—Barbara Jean Miller and husband Max of Michigan.

Kitty enjoyed boating and fishing very much.  She and Victor spent as much time as they possibly could on the pontoon boat, floating up and down the sound which was very near their residence.  It is said that Kitty enjoyed verbal communication a great deal more than most of her acquaintances.  Her love of family was paramount in her life and it was obvious.

A service to celebrate her life is set for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Lighthouse Church (539 Lighthouse Road, Wallace, NC) with visitation at 1:00 p.m. in the church.  Interment will be in the Lighthouse Church cemetery following.  Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the Raynor family.
