Christy Lynn Sholar 53 of Durham died Tuesday Dec. 29, 2009 at Quinn Hospice Care Center in Kenansville. She is survived by her faithful companion, Kent Sowers of Durham; mother, Helen Sholar of Wallace; one sister, Debbie Waltz & husband Tom of Wilmington; one brother, Terry Sholar & wife Debbie of Monroe; one niece, Katie Hardy & husband Matt of Charlotte; one nephew, Scott Sholar & wife Jennifer of Raleigh, and one great nephew Benjamin Hardy of Charlotte. Born in Pender County Christy is the daughter of Helen Fussell Sholar and the late Bill Sholar. She was a school teacher and a member of First Baptist Church of Wallace.
