Mrs. Clara Hamilton Johnson, age 87 of Wallace, NC, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Elizabethtown Nursing Center, Elizabethtown, NC. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Padgett Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Ross Cavenaugh. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park, Watha. The family will receive one hour prior the service at Padgett Funeral Home. She is survived by three children, Margie Todd of Rocky Point, NC, Janet Pusey and husband George of Ivanhoe, NC and Hugh Johnson and wife Tracy of Ivanhoe, a brother, Charles Hamilton and wife Fran of Supply, NC, seven grandchildren, Jeff Pierce and wife Eve of Thomasville, NC, Brandon Pusey and wife Veronica of Ivanhoe, NC, Jill Wells and husband Dean of Teachey, NC, Malyssa Johnson of Ivanhoe, NC, Gena McKenzie and husband Jamie of Wilmington, NC, Tyler Todd of New Bern, NC and Shane Todd of Burgaw, NC, and eleven great grandchildren, Justin, Ashton, Reese, Landon, Kenadie, Blair, Sarah, Bailey, Seth, Zoe and Brendon. Born September 22, 1925 in Whiteville, NC, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Rembert and Carrie Hamilton and was preceded in death by her husband, Roger H. Johnson, a daughter, Jean Johnson, five brothers, two sisters, a great grandson, Wesley Pusey and a son-in-law, Gene Todd. Clara worked many years at front register at Clow Drug in Wallace. Pallbearers will be Jeff Pierce, Brandon Pusey, Dean Wells, Justin Smith, Ashton Smith and Jamie McKenzie.
