Mrs. Constance \"Connie\" Tunnissen Venters of Wallace, NC, died Friday, June 1, 2012 at Golden Care. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1401 South College Road Wilmington, NC, by the Rev. Charles Hause. Surviving besides her husband, John Walter Venters of 63 years are: two sons, John W. Venters, Jr. and wife Susan of Wilmington, NC and Ronald B. Venters and wife Eve Black Venters of Wallace, NC, a daughter, Kim Marie Sharky of Southport, NC, eight grandchildren, Caitlin Venters of New York, Colleen Venters of Wilmington, NC, Lauren Weaver and husband Andrew of Charleston, SC, Joshua Venters of Wilmington, NC, Chandler Barnes Venters of Wallace, NC, Nathan G. Kirby and wife Kristy of Gastonia, NC, Phillip Sharky of Southport, NC and Patrick Sharky of Southport, NC, five great grandchildren, a brother, James Tunnissen and wife Wendy of Randlett, OK and several nieces and nephews. Born May 18, 1923 in Hazelton, PA, Mrs. Venters was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Tunnissen. A service of Padgett Funeral Home, Wallace, NC.
