Mr. Daniel Wayne Lanier age 61 of 421 Corinth Church Road, Teachey died at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday November 7, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Wallace conducted by Coach Joey Price and Dr. James Baldwin. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betty Register Lanier of the home; two daughters, Tammy Lanier Taylor and husband Mike, and Tracy Lanier Jones and husband Gary all of Teachey; his mother, Mrs. Mary Ellen Lanier of Teachey; six grandchildren; Brailey Jones, Maddison Jones, Michael Taylor, Jr., Matthew Taylor, Ashley King and Amy King. A native of Duplin County, Mr. Lanier is the son of Mary Ellen Lanier and the late Joseph Lanier. He is preceded in death by his brother, Joey Lanier. The family will receive at the First Baptist Church of Wallace from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Saturday.
