Mr. Daniel \"Dan\" Moore age 81 of 1910 Kirkwood Road Road, Watha died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 8, 2009 at Padgett Funeral Chapel conducted by Dr.Jim Baldwin. He is survived by his wife; Winnie Marie Moore of the home, daughter; Gail Devane and husband Kevin of Rose Hill, one son; Greg Moore and wife Beth of Teachey, one grand-daughter Sarah Beth Moore of Teachey, two grandsons; Stacy Rooks and wife Caroline of Charlotte, Matt Moore of Teachey, one sister; Kim Hayden and husband John of Frederick, Maryland, and several nieces and nephews. A native of Pender County, Mr. Moore was the son of the late William Ephrim Moore and Cordiela Ann Carlton. He was a Master Drill Sargent of the 82nd Airborn Division having served in the US Army and Civil Air Patrol. Mr. Moore was a very talented Electrical engineer and enjoyed sharing his expertice with others. The family will receive at the residence of Greg and Beth Moore, 429 Cornwallis Road, Teachey anytime.
