Mrs. Debra \"Debbie\" Guin, age 58 of Rose Hill, passed away Monday, August 12, 2013 at Carolina East Quinn Hospice Care Center, Kenansville. Memorial services will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Padgett Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel conducted by Reverend Tim Mateer. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Padgett Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Harvey Douglas Guin of Rose Hill, NC, a son, Jason Dixon of Wallace, NC, a daughter, April Poindexter of Rose Hill, NC, four grandchildren, Amber, Evan, and Jacoby Dixon all of Wallace, NC and Addison Thompson of Rose Hill, NC, her parents, G. W. and Ommie (Brown) Mobley of Chinquapin, NC, three brothers, Kelly Mobley of Chinquapin, NC, Glenn Mobley and wife Edith of LaGrange, NC, and Stan Mobley and wife Becky of Chinquapin, NC, three special cousins, Rhonda English and husband Graham of Willard, NC, Jennifer Kohut and husband Phil of Wallace, NC and Joann Sumner and husband Frankie of Beulaville, NC, several nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends.
Born July 30, 1955 in Burgaw, NC, Mrs. Guin was the daughter of G. W. and Ommie (Brown) Mobley and was preceded in death by her previous husband, Ray Poindexter. She graduated in 1973 from East Duplin High School and received her business degree from James Sprunt Community College.
Debbie loved watching her grandchildren play sports, cooking, taking care of her family, going to the mountains and beach and fishing at Topsail Beach. She did not know a stranger and would talk to everyone she met.
