Delores Ann Pridgen, age 69 of Clinton, NC, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, NC. Funeral services and burial will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Rockfish Cemetary, conducted by Rev. Ed Rouse. She is survived by her children, David Sarp, Jr. and wife Amy of Clinton, NC, Denise Topp and husband Cecil of Jackson Hole, WY, Anthony Pridgen and wife Kim of Harrells, NC, and Angela Pridgen of Rose Hill, NC, Ten grandchildren, Viviana Sarp, Tiffany Layton, Gatlin Topp, Hunter Layton, Sarah Sarp, Devon Topp, Kennedy Pridgen, Casey Dunn, Gracie Pridgen and Chloe Pridgen and two sisters, Rita Hawley of Oklahoma and Valeda Knowles of Myrtle Beach, SC. Born December 16, 1943 in Corpus Christi, TX, Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Wells Lanier and Harold Lanier. She graduated high school from Englewood High in Jacksonville, FL. She eventually settled in Harrells, NC and raised her family. One of her proudest moments, besides her children, was volunteering for the Harrells Rescue for over 10 years eventually becoming co-captain. She loved cooking, taking care of her family and loving her many pets over the years. She will be missed greatly. A service of Padgett Funeral and Cremation Service.
