Mr. Denver Gerald Peoples, age 85 of Citra, FL and most recently, Rose Hill, NC, died on April 4, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Graveside Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 11:00 am at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.

Mr. Peoples is survived by his wife of 61 years, Greta Maria Storck Peoples of Citra, FL and most recently, Rose Hill, NC, his son, Denver Lee Peoples of Oregon, his daughters, Wanita Elizabeth Beck of Lexington, NC and Carol Ann Mann and husband Gary of Rose Hill, NC, ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild .

Denver was born on January 31, 1931 in Lawrence County, PA to the late Daniel Potter and Maudlene Ida Oakman Peoples. He is also predeceased by a son, Robert Peoples and a great grandson, Jacob Denver Buchanan.

Mr. Peoples retired from the U. S. Army after having served his country honorably for 20 years.
