Mr. Donald Ray Baker, Sr. age 68 of Wallace died December 23, 2012 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 28, 2012 at Corinth Baptist Church, Rose Hill conducted by Rev. Paul Jackson.  Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.  The family will receive from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Thursday, December 27 at Padgett Funeral Home.

He is survived by a son, Don Baker II of Greenville, NC, a daughter Dondrea Baker of Wilmington, NC, a granddaughter, Jordyn Baker of Wilmington, NC, a brother, Felton Baker of Wallace, NC and two sisters, Ethelyn Baker Usher of Rose Hill and Leathia Mae Baker Lanier and husband Billy Ray of Hampstead, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born March 7, 1944 in Rose Hill, Mr. Baker was the son of the late Evans Norton and Lonie Anders Baker and was preceded in death by seven brothers, Benjamin Forest Baker Sr., Deford Baker, Harland Baker, Norton Baker, Anson Lee Baker, Ellis Grey Baker and Dorwood Baker.

Casket bearers will be  Danny Baker, Alan Baker, Tony Baker, Tommy Baker, Ben Baker, Gary Usher and Randy Usher.  Honorary bearers will be Mitch Lanier, Mike Lanier, Steve Wilson and Juston Usher.
